The Spirit Squad

My first serious outing with the newly acquired Nikon D3000 and not surprisingly, I botched a lot of shots. This was a lucky botch. Having set a high shutter speed to catch the cranes in flight, I happened to click them perched high. Didn't look too impressive on the LCD screen but once loaded and the exposure cranked a bit, I found the whites puncturing the dark too stark to be ignored.
